Christmas lights
December 24, 2013
This time has come again.
A time for joy and togetherness, for traditions and preparations, for gifts and decorations.
A time with happiness, with fear of loneliness, of memories and changes.
A time for songs, poems, prayers, candles and the scent of oranges and spices.
A time when a single brilliant Star lead the way to a crib and a new born Child.
A time when everyone everywhere should find its own Light, shining.
A warm and comforting feeling in one’s heart.
May one of those lights on our pine tree in the garden find the way to your heart and
Let you know you are thought of, thanked and wished the best only.
MERRY CHRISTMAS, JOYEUX NOEL, FELIZ NAVIDAD, GLAEDELIG JUL, HYVAA JOULUA !
Isabelle
Joyeux Noel a toi aussi!!
Merci, chère Karen, j’espère que toi et les tiens avez passé une belle fête de Noël.
The combination of snow and lights always says, “Christmas!” to me. It was my childhood, my youth. It was as certain as the love of parents, the faithfulness of Santa.
Now, the snow is a rarity, but the light still shines. May the light of Christmas be yours, dear Isa!
Thank you Linda. We did not have a White Christmas this year (although snow is announced for the next days) but the Tree, the light in everyone’s eyes shone brightly 🙂 I hope you had a lovely celebration too.
Merry Christmas, Isa! May you have a wonderful celebration & good time.. wishing you loads of happiness in the coming new year! Thanks for the lovely picture.. God bless you! 🙂

Thank you Leslie, I hope many little lights shone for you at Christmas and will in the NewYear.
The tree is beautiful with the snow and lights. I really like all the things that you have written about Christmas. Lovely words. May your Christmas be one of peace, dear Isa.
Good morning dear Yvonne and thank you for your warm words. The Christmas celebration in the family was a joyful one, there was peace too and gratitude for those moments of togetherness. Wishing it was the same for you. Take care.

Merry Christmas and a happy New Year Isa. 🙂
Merci Nye, many good wishes to you and yours !
I hope yours was wonderful Isa. It looks so beautiful and snowy – very different from our world here.
Thank you Tammy. Our worlds are different but Christmas spirit is the same everywhere, isn’t it ? or so I hope. Have a lovely Holiday Season.
I hope you have had a nice time together with your family, dear Isa. The lights at a tree outside looks so cosy. I once had some using solar cells, but as there wasn´t much sunshine to catch in the dark winter, I gave them up. One summerday, when cleaning the little outside barn, I found them and threw them at the lawn, meaning to continue my cleaning the next day. It got late, darkness came, and from my window I suddenly saw the most romantic light, my Christmas lights was fully alive and able to lighten up the front of the barn. The next day, I hung them along the roof of the barn, and from that day, I just had to look out at them, to get in the mood of either being to a bal, or living in a circus. After many years they didn´t last longer, and now that I think of it, this should be the best time to find some new ones, perhaps even to a good price!
What a lovely, lovely story, Giiid ! Like a Christmas tale, the little lights getting alive in the night on the lawn. It must have looked so pretty and magic. And yes, now is the time to find new lights and other decorations for next year. Hope you had a nice time with your family too, holding hands around your Christmas tree and eating those traditional cookies, cakes and other special Danish “spécialités”. Thank you for letting us know about it during this past December month.
A beautiful post, Isa, thank you and all the best for 2014 xxx
Oh, what a beautiful surprise to find you here again, Cindy ! Thank you so much for your visit. I read that there were changes for you in 2013 and I send you my “bestest” wishes for 2014. Precisely all that you wish for yourself. Take good care of you.
Tes pensées me font plaisir.
